Emily and Daniel’s wedding at Triple 3 Vineyard was nothing short of magical. Held at the beginning of May, the day was a beautiful blend of love, laughter, and a few unexpected surprises that made it even more memorable.

The weather was stunning for most of the day, with crystal blue skies and gorgeous, white, fluffy clouds (MY FAVORITE!), and a gentle breeze that made the vineyard glow with natural beauty. As we prepared for the ceremony, we kept a watchful eye on the forecast, knowing rain was in the air. In a spontaneous decision that turned out to be perfect, we started the ceremony early to avoid the approaching storm. Emily and Daniel exchanged their vows under a sky that held its breath, and we made it through the ceremony without a single drop of rain. Lots and LOTS of wind….but no rain!

Just as we began the portrait session, the sky decided it was time for a shower. So, naturally, I ran as fast as I could to my car to get all of my clear umbrellas before it started raining so we’d be ready when it did come! And thanks to my lovely umbrellas, we transformed the rain into a charming element of the day. Emily and Daniel’s joy was undeterred, and we captured some incredible outdoor portraits, rain and all.

One of the most touching moments of the day was Emily’s emotional first look with her dad. His eyes welled up with tears as he saw his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time, a moment of pure, unfiltered love. The daddy/daughter first look is always one of my favorite parts of the wedding day! I can never make it through those moments without crying! And Emily’s first look with her dad was one of the sweetest I’ve ever captured. Following this, Emily shared a sweet first look with her and Daniel’s young son, Ryan. His face lit up with joy, and it was clear that this little boy was so proud to see his mom so happy.

The bridesmaids reveal was another highlight, with gasps and cheers filling the room as they saw Emily in her bridal glory. The excitement and love in that moment set the tone for the rest of the day.

Meanwhile, Daniel and his groomsmen had a blast during their getting-ready time in the morning. Laughter echoed through the air as they shared stories, jokes, and a few good-natured antics. Their camaraderie was infectious and set a lively pace for the day ahead.

The wedding party and families were a delight to work with. Their warmth and enthusiasm were evident from the beginning, and they brought so much energy to the dance floor at the end of the night. It was a joy to see everyone come together to celebrate Emily and Daniel’s love, creating unforgettable memories.

As the night drew to a close, we were blessed with a breathtaking sunset. We managed to sneak outside just in time to capture Emily and Daniel against the backdrop of a sky painted with hues of orange, pink, and gold. Those sunset portraits are some of my favorites, radiating the beauty and serenity of the day.

Serving a couple like Emily and Daniel, along with their wonderful loved ones, is a true honor. Their day was filled with so many heartfelt moments, and I am grateful to have been a part of it. It is days like these that remind me why I love my job so much. Capturing the love, joy, and beauty of such special moments is not just my profession—it’s my passion. I am humbled by the appreciation and gratitude that was thrown my way all day not only by the lovely bride and groom, but by their parents, their friends, and their wedding party. The end of the night “goodbyes” to the aforementioned parties was also a highlight of my day, and I left in tears of joy and gratitude for accomplishing my goal, which is to extravagantly love and serve my couples and their loved ones with every fiber of my being, creating a memorable, heartfelt, and fun experience for everyone throughout the day, and to artfully capture every moment humanly possible. To be told by a bridesmaid that this is what was witnessed that day filled my heart to the brim and my eyes were wet with tears of elation as I drove home.

Thank you, Emily and Daniel, for allowing me to be a part of your perfect Triple 3 Vineyard wedding in Washington, MO. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness and love!
